Using a patented peak-detection technique
to eliminate magnet and system offsets, Allegro's ATS611LSB
is optimized to sense fine-pitch gears over large working
air gaps. The circuit design has the ability to react rapidly

providing stable operation at extremely low rotation speeds.
This advanced circuitry is ideal for gathering speed, position,
and timing information using fine-pitched gears.
The ATS611LSB provides peak performance for

The 2919SB
and 2919SLB motor drivers are designed to drive both windings
of a bipolar stepper motor or bidirectionally control two
DC motors. Both bridges are capable of sustaining 45 V and
include PWM control of the output currents to 750 mA.
Combining low-power CMOS logic with high-current
and high-voltage bipolar outputs, the 5804
BiMOS II Translator/Driver provides complete control and drive
for a four-phase unipolar stepper motor.

is designed for driving one winding of a bipolar stepper motor
in a microstepping mode. The outputs are rated for continuous
output currents to ± 1.5 A and operating voltages to 50 V.
Internal pulse-width modulated (PWM) current control combined
with an internal 3-bit/4-bit non-linear digital-to-analog
converter allows the motor current to be controlled in full-,
half-, quarter-, or eight-step/sixteen-step (microstepping)
modes. Nonlinear increments minimize the number of control
lines necessary for microstepping. Microstepping provides
for increased step resolution, and reduces torque variations
and resonance problems at low speed
Low power dissipation and higher power — Allegro's
new full-featured A3972
is a serial-controlled microstepping driver with DMOS (all
N channel) outputs for decreased power dissipation and higher
peak-current capability compared to bipolar drivers.We have
it all inside! 6-bit programmable linear DACs offer tailoring
to specific motors and reduces the external components.

Our new A3422
Hall-Effect Direction Detection Sensor continues our tradition
of top performance and innovation. It represents a new generation
of special-function integrated sensors that are directly capable
of detecting the direction of a ring magnet's rotation, while
also providing information on magnet rotation speed and pole
count.
The A3422 features two Hall elements precisely
aligned to better than 1 μm. As a result, this advanced device
eliminates the problem of maintaining accurate mechanical
location between the two active Hall elements, the major manufacturing
hurdle encountered in fine-pitch direction-detection applications.
This makes the A3422 ideal for use in digital encoder systems
in the harsh environments of automotive and industrial applications.
